Daily update is a quick, efficient meeting for teammates to provide updates on their projects. It helps teams stay organized, reduce redundancy in status reporting, and spend more time managing the flow of work.
To enable daily updates for your Action, configure one of your Action’s intents as the triggering intent for this feature. When users invoke this intent, your Action should automatically open a conversation that asks for their day’s update. You can personalize this conversation by adding custom questions and referencing the values of any parameters the user submits when they register their daily update.
Once a user has subscribed to daily updates, they’ll receive Assistant notifications at their scheduled update time each day. To prevent overwhelming users with subscription prompts, be thoughtful about how and when you offer this option. Show the benefit of your daily update to users first, and avoid repeating the subscription prompt in multiple contexts.
To test your daily update, invoke one of the intents you’ve configured as a daily update and check for Assistant notifications at their scheduled update time each day. For best results, use a Google Assistant-enabled mobile device and log in with the same account you used to create your Action.
